Extract the document
Get the PDF, XML or other original file out of the signed envelope, including files with several nested signatures (.p7m.p7m).

Print or save as PDF
Print a courtesy copy or download a tidy PDF. Invoice attachments download with one click.
Timestamps
Also opens .m7m and .tsd files and shows the certified date and time of the timestamp.
Nothing to install
Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android, and can be installed as an app from the browser to open files with a double click.
How it works
- Drop the file you received by email or PEC (Italian certified email), or downloaded from the Italian tax portal.
- Your browser opens the envelope (CAdES/PKCS#7) on your device and checks that the content has not been altered.
- Read, print or download the original document, the invoice as a PDF, or a register for your accountant.
Why it is private: the tool page forbids the browser from making any network connection (Content-Security-Policy connect-src 'none'). You can check it by going offline: it keeps working.
What the signature check means
ApriP7M checks the cryptographic integrity of the signature (the document has not been changed since it was signed) and shows the certificate details. It is not a qualified verification: it does not query the EU or AgID trusted lists or certificate revocation lists, and it does not give a document legal validity. The invoice view and PDF are courtesy copies; the legally valid document remains the original XML file.
Frequently asked questions
What is a .p7m file?
It is a digitally signed document using a CAdES signature: the original file (PDF, XML, Word…) is wrapped in an “envelope” together with the signature and the signer’s certificate. Digital signatures like this are standard in Italy, and Italian e-invoices often end in .xml.p7m. Read the guide.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. ApriP7M is a static page: your browser reads and decodes the file on your device, and the page blocks every network connection while it works.
Can it show an Italian invoice in English?
Yes. FatturaPA invoices are shown with English labels (supplier, customer, VAT summary, payment terms, due dates) and English names for the Italian codes, with the Italian term in brackets where your accountant would expect it. The descriptions written by the supplier stay as written, usually in Italian.
Does the signature check have legal value?
No. ApriP7M checks that the document has not been modified after signing and shows the certificate details, but it is not a qualified verification: it does not consult the trusted lists or the certificate revocation lists. For an official verification, use a qualified validation service.
What about .p7s files?
A .p7s contains only the signature (a “detached signature”): the original document is a separate file. ApriP7M recognises it and tells you; checking it together with the document is planned.
How much does it cost?
Opening one file at a time is free, with no sign-up. Pro costs €19.99 one-time: a lifetime licence with no subscription. See pricing.
